About Goldy
Free learning tools, built by a former math teacher.
Who builds Goldy?
Goldy is a solo project by a former math teacher turned software developer who wanted better, distraction-free learning tools. No venture funding, no corporate agenda - just a passion for making learning fun and accessible.
Why does Goldy exist?
Most educational platforms are loaded with ads, upsells, and data collection. Goldy is different: no ads, no tracking cookies, no selling your data. The goal is simple - give families high-quality math games, worksheets, and practice tools without the noise.
Why is it free?
Because learning shouldn't have a paywall. Goldy is sustained through voluntary donations (Ko-fi) and runs on minimal infrastructure. If you find it useful, you can support the project - but there's no pressure.
Privacy first
Your family's privacy is non-negotiable. Emails are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM). We use self-hosted, GDPR-compliant analytics (Umami) with no cookies. Your data never leaves our servers, and you can export or delete everything at any time.
The tech behind it
Goldy runs on Next.js, PostgreSQL, and Redis - hosted in the EU. It features two-factor authentication, bcrypt password hashing, rate limiting, and regular security audits. The source code follows modern best practices with full test coverage.
