Terms and Conditions
Last updated: June 2, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using this website and educational platform ("the Service"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("the Terms"). If you do not agree with any of the provisions of these Terms, please do not access or use the Service.
Continued use of the Service after the publication of an updated version of these Terms may constitute acceptance of the new terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
2. About the Service and Operator
2.1 Operator
The Service is operated by a private individual resident in Romania, European Union.
Contact email: [email protected]
Location: Romania, European Union
2.2 Service Description
The Service is a free educational mathematics platform that may include interactive educational games, step-by-step lessons, fluency exercises and spaced repetition, printable worksheets, and related tools. Certain additional features, such as classes, teams/guilds, educator oversight, pedagogical notes, or parent/legal guardian access to progress data, may be under development, not yet publicly available, or gradually activated. These features apply only if and when available on the platform. Community features, if present in the code or interface, may be inactive at launch and apply only if explicitly enabled by the operator.
The Service is intended exclusively for educational and personal, non-commercial use by end users.
2.3 Service Provision
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
3. Eligibility and Accounts
3.1 Age Requirement
Account holders must be at least 18 years old. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age.
3.2 Use by Minors
Minors (under 18) may use the platform only through and under the direct supervision of an adult account holder: a parent, legal guardian, or authorised educator.
A minor's educational profile is not an independent account. It is created and managed exclusively through the account of an authorised adult account holder. The minor may not independently create, modify, or delete the account or profile, except where law grants a specific right exercised through their legal representative.
By creating or managing a minor's profile, the adult account holder represents and warrants that they hold the necessary legal authority, parental or guardian status, institutional mandate, or required consent for using the Service and providing the minor's data.
An adult account may connect a maximum of 6 educational profiles for minors. This limit is technically enforced by the platform. Educational profiles may optionally be protected with a 4-digit numeric PIN set by the adult account holder. The PIN is stored exclusively as a cryptographic hash (bcrypt) and cannot be recovered by the platform. Loss of the PIN requires the adult account holder to reset it from the account settings. Details on PIN storage are available in the Privacy Policy.
3.3 Adult Account Holder Responsibility
The adult account holder is fully responsible for:
- all activity conducted within the account or under their supervision;
- data created by or about the minor during use of the Service;
- the minor's compliance with these Terms;
- exercising GDPR rights on behalf of the minor;
- ensuring that the minor's use of the Service complies with applicable law;
- managing minor profiles: the adult account holder may add and individually delete minor profiles from the account settings, independently of deleting the main account.
3.4 Access Termination
The operator reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or delete accounts created in breach of the eligibility requirements set out in this section.
3.5 Team Leader Responsibility
If team leader, class, team, or guild features are activated, the team leader who creates or manages learner profiles represents and warrants that they hold the necessary legal authority, institutional mandate, or required consent from the parent, legal guardian, or competent institution. The operator does not routinely verify such authorisations but may request evidence, restrict access, or delete relevant data or profiles in the event of a dispute, reasonable suspicion of abuse, lack of authority, or legal obligation.
4. Permitted Use
The Service may be used exclusively for:
- educational purposes: learning, practice, and assessment in the field of mathematics;
- personal purposes: individual use or use within a family or, if the feature is available, within a class, team, guild, or educational institution;
- non-commercial purposes: unless expressly authorised in advance by the operator.
All use of the Service must comply with applicable law (Romanian, European, and international) and these Terms.
5. Prohibited Use
The Service must not be used for:
- Illegal activities: any activity that violates applicable Romanian, European, or international law.
- Financial decisions: banking transactions, investments, credit evaluations, or any financial decisions based on platform content.
- Medical purposes: diagnosis, treatment, medical consultation, or any health-related decisions.
- Legal or contractual decisions: legal evaluations, legal advice, or contractual obligations based on platform content.
- Gambling and betting: any activity regulated by gambling, betting, or similar gaming legislation.
- Reverse engineering: decompilation, disassembly, or extraction of the platform's source code, to the extent prohibited by applicable law.
- Automated extraction and scraping: automated data collection, scraping, crawling, or other mass content extraction from the platform without express prior authorisation.
- Phishing, malware, and spam: distribution of malicious software, phishing activities, spam, or any attempted fraud.
- Unauthorised security testing: penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, or any other security assessments without the operator's express prior authorisation.
- Overloading or disrupting the Service: attempts to overload, destabilise, or interfere with the normal operation of the platform or its infrastructure.
- Unauthorised access: attempts to access accounts, data, systems, or networks without proper authorisation.
- Infringement of third-party rights: use of the Service to violate intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or any other third-party rights.
- Misuse of team leader or learner data: accessing, copying, sharing, or using educational data for purposes not strictly related to the platform's educational function.
- Sensitive data in free-text fields: entering data belonging to special categories under Art. 9 GDPR into free-text fields, notes, feedback, messages, or profiles - including health data, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, biometric or genetic data, sex life, or sexual orientation - unless there is an explicit legal basis and the operator has authorised such processing in writing.
- Team leader notes or leaderNote: using pedagogical note fields, including leaderNote, for irrelevant, excessive, discriminatory, sensitive, medical, psychological, or unjustified disciplinary information, or information without a direct connection to the platform's educational purpose.
- Minor data without legal authority: entering, accessing, exporting, copying, sharing, or using minors' data without the necessary legal authority, institutional mandate, or required consent.
- Inappropriate community content (if the community feature is activated): publishing illegal, offensive, discriminatory, defamatory, or harassing content, content that infringes third-party rights, or content that includes other individuals' personal data without legal basis.
6. User-Submitted Content, Notes and Free-Text Fields
Certain features of the Service may allow users to submit content, such as display names, nicknames, support messages, feedback, pedagogical notes, or - if activated - community interactions. The user submitting content is responsible for its legality, accuracy, relevance, and appropriateness.
Entering other individuals' personal data without legal basis, special category data, or excessive or irrelevant information relative to the educational purpose of the Service is prohibited. Educators and adults managing learner profiles must respect the principles of minimisation, accuracy, and relevance when entering information about minors.
The operator may, without prior notice where circumstances justify, delete, restrict, de-identify, anonymise, moderate, or request modification of content that violates these Terms, the Privacy Policy, the rights of other persons, or applicable law.
The operator is not liable for the legality, accuracy, or appropriateness of user-submitted content, to the extent permitted by law. This limitation does not exclude the operator's obligations that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
7. Content, Educational Materials and Intellectual Property
7.1 Intellectual Property
The platform's source code, design, structure, brand, educational content, materials, features, and graphical elements are protected by copyright and applicable intellectual property legislation. All rights are reserved, unless otherwise specified in an express licence.
7.2 Licence to Use
By accepting these Terms, you receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable licence to access and use the Service for educational and personal, non-commercial purposes, in accordance with these Terms.
7.3 Restrictions
Except where permitted by applicable law, you may not:
- copy, reproduce, distribute, or redistribute the platform's content or materials;
- resell, sublicence, or transfer the right to access the Service;
- create derivative works based on the platform's content or structure;
- use the content or materials for commercial purposes without express prior authorisation.
7.4 User-Generated Content
Educational and performance data generated through use of the platform remains associated with your account and is subject to the Privacy Policy. Users do not acquire additional intellectual property rights over the Service or its operation through use.
User-submitted content remains the responsibility of the user who submits it. By submitting content, you grant the operator a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, process, transmit, moderate, and use that content solely for the purpose of providing, securing, and improving the Service, in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
8. Accounts, Security and Suspension
8.1 Account Security
You are responsible for:
- maintaining the confidentiality of your authentication credentials (password, 2FA recovery codes);
- all activities conducted within your account;
- promptly notifying the operator of any suspected unauthorised access or account compromise by email to [email protected].
8.2 Suspension and Access Restriction
The operator reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the Service, in whole or in part, in any of the following situations:
- breach of these Terms;
- abusive behaviour, infringement of third-party rights, or harassment;
- identified security or platform integrity risks;
- legal requests or court orders;
- any other well-founded grounds relating to security, legal compliance, or Service integrity.
The operator will make reasonable efforts to notify the user of suspension or restriction, except where such notification would be inadvisable for security or legal compliance reasons.
The operator may temporarily restrict access to a minor's profile, team, class, or account in the event of a dispute regarding legal authority, reasonable suspicion of abuse, a request from a parent or legal guardian, or a legal requirement, pending clarification of the situation.
8.3 Technical Protection Measures
To protect the Service, the operator may apply automated technical measures to temporarily limit, block, or restrict access where there are reasonable indications of abusive activity, unauthorized access attempts, brute-force attacks, spam, excessive load, attempts to bypass restrictions, breach of these Terms, or other security or platform integrity risks.
These measures may include temporarily adding an IP address to an active technical block list. For this purpose, the IP address may be retained in raw form for a maximum of 24 hours, after which it is automatically deleted. Separately, logs relating to blocked requests or security events may be retained for limited periods, with IP addresses transformed by hashing before storage, as set out in the Privacy Policy.
These measures are applied exclusively for the security of the Service, abuse prevention, protecting platform availability, and enforcement of these Terms. Further details regarding the processing of technical data, legal bases, and retention periods are available in the Privacy Policy.
9. Service Availability and Changes
- The Service may be modified, updated, interrupted, suspended, or withdrawn, in whole or in part, at any time, with or without prior notice.
- The operator does not guarantee uninterrupted, continuous, or error-free availability of the Service.
- Maintenance periods, technical updates, security incidents, or force majeure circumstances may affect availability.
- The operator is not liable for any loss or inconvenience resulting from temporary or permanent unavailability of the Service or from modifications to its features.
- Features marked as beta, experimental, in development, or coming soon may be modified, limited, disabled, or removed without any obligation to maintain them permanently.
10. Important Disclaimers
10.1 Educational Purpose Only
The Service is intended exclusively for educational and personal purposes. Platform content does not constitute professional, legal, medical, financial, or any other specialist advice. Progress is measured as practice frequency and fact recall, not as scored performance.
10.2 No Guarantee of Outcomes
The operator does not guarantee specific educational outcomes, performance improvements, or any other determined results. The effectiveness of the educational experience may vary depending on factors beyond the operator's control.
10.3 User Responsibility
The user remains fully responsible for decisions made outside the platform based on content or results obtained through the Service. The Service does not substitute for:
- professional specialist advice;
- formal educational assessment;
- legal, medical, or financial consultation;
- any other qualified professional advice.
10.4 Gambling
The Service and its educational content do not constitute and must not be used as an instrument for gambling, betting, or any activity regulated by gambling legislation.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including, without limitation, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
- The operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including, without limitation, loss of data, loss of profits, loss of opportunity, or moral damages, arising from or relating to the use of or inability to use the Service.
- The operator's total liability to you for any claims arising from or relating to the Service shall not, in any case, exceed the amount actually paid by you to the operator for use of the Service in the preceding 12 months. If the Service is provided free of charge, the operator's liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law, without excluding or limiting mandatory consumer rights or any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
Exceptions: this limitation does not exclude or limit the operator's liability in circumstances where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law, including, without limitation, liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, to the extent provided by Romanian and European law.
12. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to compensate the operator for direct, reasonable, and proven losses, costs, and expenses arising from or relating to:
- your misuse of the Service;
- your breach of these Terms;
- unlawful or unauthorised conduct within or in connection with the Service;
- your infringement of third-party rights through the Service.
This indemnification obligation applies to the extent permitted by applicable law and does not affect your mandatory rights as a consumer.
13. Data Protection and Cookies
The collection, use, storage, retention, and protection of your personal data are governed by the Privacy Policy.
Detailed information about cookies and local storage technologies used by the platform is available on the Cookie Information page.
For data protection requests, you may use [email protected] or the dedicated address [email protected], which does not constitute the formal designation of a DPO.
We recommend reviewing both documents carefully.
The Platform offers an optional newsletter containing educational tips and platform updates. Subscription requires your explicit consent, provided through a double opt-in process (subscription request followed by email confirmation). You may withdraw consent and unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email or by contacting [email protected]. Your newsletter subscription status is independent of your Platform account: deleting your account also removes your newsletter subscription, but unsubscribing does not delete your account.
The Service uses third-party OAuth providers for authentication: Google, Facebook/Meta, and Twitch. If you choose to authenticate via an OAuth provider, that provider's own terms of service and privacy policy apply to your relationship with them. The operator receives only the data described in the Privacy Policy. The Service also uses Zoho Mail for newsletter and transactional email delivery and Cloudflare for security and content delivery. These providers act as authorised data processors and are described in the Privacy Policy.
The Platform uses automated algorithms exclusively for pedagogical purposes (adaptive difficulty adjustment and spaced repetition scheduling). These processes do not constitute automated decision-making producing legal effects or similarly significant effects within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR. Further details are set out in the Privacy Policy (Section 19).
14. Termination
14.1 Termination by the User
You may stop using the Service at any time. You may request account deletion through your profile settings or by email to [email protected]. The deletion process includes a 24-hour grace period during which you may cancel the deletion by logging back in, as detailed in the Privacy Policy. To exercise your right to data portability or to submit a data subject access request (DSAR - access, erasure, restriction, or portability), see the Privacy Policy or contact [email protected].
14.2 Termination by the Operator
The operator reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service, in whole or in part, in any of the situations set out in Section 8.2 of these Terms.
14.3 Effects of Termination
Upon termination of access:
- your obligations that by their nature should survive termination shall remain in effect, including, without limitation: Sections 7 (Intellectual Property), 10 (Disclaimers), 11 (Limitation of Liability), 12 (Indemnification), and 15 (Governing Law);
- your data is managed in accordance with the Privacy Policy and the applicable retention periods.
Termination of use of the Service or deletion of your account does not affect obligations and liabilities arising prior to termination, including obligations relating to unauthorised use, submitted content, indemnification, intellectual property, and data protection.
15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
15.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Romania and applicable European Union legislation, including, without limitation, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
15.2 Jurisdiction
Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the use of the Service shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Romania, except where mandatory consumer protection law requires a different jurisdiction.
15.3 Consumer Rights
These Terms do not affect your mandatory rights as a consumer as provided by applicable Romanian and European law. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and mandatory consumer protection provisions, the mandatory legal provisions shall prevail.
Consumer users may also benefit from alternative dispute resolution mechanisms or platforms made available by competent authorities, to the extent applicable.
16. Changes to Terms
The operator may modify these Terms from time to time. Changes will be published on the platform with a revised update date.
Significant changes may be communicated through a visible notice on the platform or, where feasible and appropriate, by email.
Continued use of the Service after the publication of an updated version of the Terms may constitute acceptance of the new terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree with the changes, please discontinue use of the Service.
