Secret rules to instantly tell if a number divides evenly by 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, or 10.

RULES FOR 2, 5, AND 10

A number is divisible by 2 if it is even (ends in 0, 2, 4, 6, 8). By 5 if it ends in 0 or 5. By 10 if it ends in 0. These three rules are the easiest to learn!

Is 435 divisible by 5?
1Rule: ends in 0 or 5
2435 ends in 5 > YES!
3435 / 5 = 87
= 87
