WHAT DOES PERCENT MEAN?

Percent means 'out of 100'. The symbol % stands for per cent (per hundred). If 50% of a class likes football, that means 50 out of every 100 students like football. Imagine a 10×10 grid with 100 squares: colour in the percentage to see it visually.
