GRAMS AND KILOGRAMS

Weight (mass) measures how heavy something is. Grams (g) are for light things like a pencil. Kilograms (kg) are for heavier things like a bag of flour. Key fact: 1 kg = 1000 g. A litre of water weighs exactly 1 kg.
