L4L5L6
Section 1 / 3
THE MEAN (AVERAGE)

The mean is what most people call the 'average'. To find it: add all the numbers together, then divide by how many numbers there are. Mean = total รท count. For example, the mean of 4, 8, 6 is (4+8+6) รท 3 = 18 รท 3 = 6.

Find the mean of 4, 6, 8
1Add all: 4 + 6 + 8 = 18
2Divide by how many: 18 รท 3 = 6
3Mean = 6
= 6

LEADER TIP

Use physical cubes to level out (mean), line up and find the middle (median), and spot the tallest tower (mode).
