ADDING DECIMALS

The golden rule for adding decimals: line up the decimal points! Add trailing zeros if needed so both numbers have the same decimal places. Then add as normal, bringing the decimal point straight down into the answer.

2.3 + 1.45

22.30 + 1.45
3= 3.75
= 3.75
